The Stickoes (with their suction-cup feet and ears) can walk up walls, stick to ceilings and just about everything else --- except projects they start. While they are able to physically stick to things with their suction cups, they just don't seems to have the emotional ability to finish the projects they start. The whole family is this way. They flit from one thing to the next. Their boy, Sticky, has a hundred things started that the rest of the family (and his young friends) are constantly tripping over. But his Dad and Mom can't talk with their many unfinished projects heaped all over the place.
